Set up the agreement

  • Let each participant decide whether walking is suitable and offer a seated, indoor, or non-movement alternative under a separate clear claim.
  • Choose duration completion rather than distance, speed, calories, ranking, or body change.
  • Identify safe timing and environment choices without asking participants to disclose why they selected them.
  • Demonstrate how to crop maps, exact routes, home markers, account names, notifications, and unrelated activity history.

Evaluation rubric

  • The submitted summary or agreed alternative shows one completed twenty-minute session.
  • Completion falls inside the participant's visible seven-day window.
  • Voters ignore speed, distance, appearance, and any health information not included in the claim.

Edge cases to decide before starting

  • Weather or local conditions become unsafe: pause, cancel, or create a new indoor agreement without penalty.
  • A tracker records nineteen minutes because of an automatic pause: apply the original threshold or use unclear; do not silently round.
  • The screenshot reveals an exact route: replace it with a cropped version rather than circulating the original.

Privacy checks

  • Remove GPS paths, start and end points, home or workplace markers, usernames, and notifications.
  • Do not request body photos, biometric information, medical explanations, calories, pace, or weight.
  • Keep proof inside the selected group and separate any later celebration post from the verdict.

Ways to adapt this template

  • Complete a personally appropriate indoor movement or mobility session for the chosen duration.
  • Use a total-duration target split into two sessions only if the revised claim says so before acceptance.
  • Replace movement with a twenty-minute creative or learning session for a mixed-interest accountability group.

Safety and privacy standard

Apply the standard to “I can complete a 20-minute walk within seven days.”: participation stays voluntary, and people may pause, stop, or choose a safer and more accessible alternative without penalty. Never turn the activity into danger, humiliation, discrimination, sexual pressure, medical direction, illegal conduct, or financial coercion.
